Assessment

We use a variety of formal and informal evaluations to determine strengths and weaknesses in order to identify and appropriately meet client needs. Our evaluations are appropriate for school age children as well as adults.

Things we look at during an evaluation:

• Phonological processing

• Rapid naming

• Word reading

• Reading fluency

• Reading comprehension

• Listening comprehension

• Vocabulary

• Spelling

• Writing

• Other academic areas as needed

Additionally, we review the following:

• School records

• Any previous testing

• Thorough review of family and school history
